You would be working in a multi-disciplinary team and with customers to build solutions for customers and help them use and analyse data better. The role would require creating a full data/modelling pipeline, from data collection through to communication of end results and insights to the business.
Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2-3 years of industry experience in data science or programming. The candidate should be able to work independently and be able to build a data pipeline (which might require building your own web scraper,) and work with external teams to develop an API or query it from SQL/NoSQL database. Experience with a cloud computing platform such AWS is also required. Your results need to be communicated concisely to the business.
M.Sc. / PhD in computer science, statistics, engineering, mathematics, or physics
Experience in web-analytics and web-technologies
Familiarity with machine learning algorithms both supervised and unsupervised.
Familiarity with ML toolkits such as scikit-learn, h2o, caret.
Good understanding of statistics, knowledge in experimental design is a plus (A/B tests).
Scripting and programming: proficiency in Python, R (good to have), any other language is a plus.
Fluency with Unix/Linux
Working knowledge in query languages SQL and NoSQL (Mongo).
Visualisation (ggplot, matplotlib, D3, highcharts)
Eager to explore new territories while at the same time keeping focussed on delivering quick prototypes.
Fluency in English and/or German is a plus.
